What our Court Does for the Community

Does the prospect of a deep merging of spirituality and service resonate within your heart?

Are you looking for a way to help in your community?

Maybe you’d like to take a more active role in your parish, community, city or town but aren’t sure exactly how to do it?

Here’s some of the ways that we have impacted our communities.

This list changes as needs change.

CDA members share their talents and gifts while working with other Catholic women who share faith and similar values.

All the while pursuing our mission of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and dignity for all.

  • Our court has a Junior court for girls ages 6-18.  They consistently have about 40-50 members.

  • In December, we meet for a Christmas lunch with our members and their families and friends.

  • We donate toys to Parkland Hospital.

  • We visit our CDA shut-ins throughout the year.

  • At Christmas our court provides Charitable giving to many charities.

  • We make and donate rosaries to worthy missions.

  • Yearly, we make over 1000 baby caps for Parkland Hospital

  • Monthly, we celebrate Mass as a group.  We gather afterwards for fellowship.

  • We play bingo with the veterans at the VA Hospital.

  • We raise funds to buy wheelchairs for veterans in our Wheelchair ministry

  • During Lent, provide tasty desserts at KC Fish Fry as a fund raiser.

  • We run the Cake Wheel at KC’s 4th of July picnic as a fund raiser.

  • Members serve meals or sort clothing at Dallas Life Foundation the largest homeless and recovery center in North Texas.

  • We provide an Honor Guard at the rosary for each of our departed members.

  • In November, our court holds an annual Memorial Ceremony for our deceased members

  • In May we have a May Crowning Ceremony

If you see a worthy charity and you want to start a program, you will find a committee that will happily help you out.  We are a group of women that are truly run by and for our members, to service the community we care about.   We do what they want and what is important to them. Our future depends on your gifts that you bless others with.

By giving of your time, talent, ideas, knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm, you'll receive spiritual enrichment, leadership skills, affirmation, community, broadened horizons, and a marked sense of accomplishment.
